On a beautiful, sunny, Sunday evening we met our gorgeous daughter Jubilee! We met her Sunday, May 25 at 8:03 P.M. and were in complete awe of God’s handy work! She was 8 pounds and 20 inches long with the cutest chubby cheeks! She is so peaceful and it reminds us of how we should let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts.
Our daughter’s full name is Jubilee Magdalene. Through much prayer, God led us to this name. Our hearts longed for her name to point her and others to the LORD Jesus Christ. “Jubilee” celebrates Jesus as our Redeemer and is great because it is very similar in Turkish spelling and meaning—Jubile. “Magdalene” is after Mary Magdalene who Jesus healed and who was very jubilant at the sight of Jesus risen from the dead! We pray both of these will be a testimony to all, but especially Muslim women.

Opa and I are so glad Jubilee is here! She is such a precious gift from God. We were thankful you let us be there to share the experience right after she was born! It was hard to hear the waves of pain that Sarah went through but the reward was great. You both take care of her so confidently and she is thriving. Thank you for sharing her with us. We love you three very, very much.
A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. John 16:21 (NIV)
